On site for RE INSPECTION due to MAJOR violations cited on routine inspection of 2/5/25.
Observed the following:
-Manager provided up to date food handler cards for employees.
-Both hand wash sinks fully stocked and accessible. CORRECTED.

Facility to retain Green Placard.
Manager had question regarding use of clothes hangers in facility to store cleaned towels. Clothes hangers observed above prep table at last inspection. Today manager had moved into crate on floor. These clothes hangers are not NSF or ANSI approved and therefore should be replaced with an approved item to hang the linens.

MAJOR VIOLATION: Upon entering back of house, hand wash sink was blocked by food trays that were being dried. Additionally, shelves were stored in front of hand wash sink, blocking it. Violation brought to attention of manager. At end of inspection, manager corrected. Hand wash sink in front of house (facility only has 2 hand wash sinks) was being used by employee to rinse out coffee containers. Ensure hand wash sinks are used for hand washing only. Additionally, do not use sink to dry trays or utensils. Keep open and accessible at all times. REINSPECTION scheduled for 2/7/25 to verify employee training on hand wash sink accessbility. Failure to correct at this time may result in YELLOW PLACARD and a 2nd charged reinspection fee.

Observed one of the clean lids to have food debris. This lid was intermingled with other clean lids. Ensure employees visually inspect utensils after cleaning for food debris.

Facility unable to provide all food handler cards for employees. One food handler card was expired. Two other employees were able to provide valid food handler cards. Manager unable to provide food handler card for other employee present during inspection. Please keep food handler cards easily accessible for future inspections.

Observed two personal items stored above or touching utensils: 1. Fly swatter observed touching dough mixer hook. Wash, rinse and sanitize prior to using again. Manager moved fly swatter. 2. Observed clothes hangers stored above prep surface. Per manager, they use these to store towels. Store clothes hangers below prep surface. Observed employee food storage in cardboard box above food for customers. Store employee food in waterproof container or on bottom shelf of walk-in cooler. This is to prevent contamination.

Observed what appears to be non commercial container used to hold customer food in the front display case. Please use a container designed for continuous re use in commercial restaurant environment (such that it is durable to continuous high temp washing). These home use tupperware containers can easily burn or warp.

Observed that the liquid waste discharge pipe of the prep sink is sitting slightly below the flood plane of the floor sink into which it drains. Provide an air gap at least twice the diameter of the discharge pipe.

Observed two moist wiping towels sitting outside on counter/prep table. Ensure moist/wet wiping towels are kept fully immersed in sanitizer solution when not in use. This is in order to prevent bacterial growth on the towels which occurs when they sit at room temp. Manager corrected. CORRECTED.

Observed some containers for food or food products utensils stored on floor. Ensure foods or boxes of utensils/equipment are stored at least 6 inches off the floor.

Observed a spray bottle of Windex cleaner stored above the bagel display case. Ensure that chemicals are stored below food and in such a manner so as to prevent contamination. Manager corrected. CORRECTED.

Observed that the health permit to operate was not posted. Operator had permit in an envelope but had not posted. Post health permit to operate in a conspicuous area.
